Punjab Electric Buses announcement for Chakwal and Talagang with Routes

The Punjab government has launched a new electric bus service for Chakwal and Talagang. This step is being seen as a big development in the fields of transport, education, and health in the region. Citizens will now have access to clean, low-cost, and reliable transport.

Chief Minister’s Visit to Chakwal

Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif will visit Chakwal to formally inaugurate the electric bus service. During her visit, she will also attend events at the University of Chakwal and distribute laptops to talented students. The CM is also expected to inspect the District Headquarters Hospital to check patient care and medical facilities.

Officials confirmed that the administration has completed all arrangements for her visit. Security and transport plans have been finalized, and routes have been prepared for smooth operations.

Electric Bus Service in Chakwal

In the first phase, 15 modern electric buses have been allocated for Chakwal. These buses are designed to provide safe and eco-friendly travel to thousands of commuters every day.

Chakwal Electric Bus Routes:

  • Chakwal to Dhadial
  • Chakwal to Balkasar
  • Chakwal to Neela Dullah
  • Chakwal to Jhatla Jaiswal
  • Chakwal to Malhal Mughlan
  • Chakwal to Bhoon

The administration has made it clear that electric buses will not run on hilly routes for now. Because of this, areas like Kallar Kahar and Choa Saidan Shah are not included in the service at this stage.

Electric Bus Service in Talagang

For Talagang, a separate fleet of 15 buses has been arranged. This is aimed at giving local people the same comfort and travel options as Chakwal. The buses will connect Talagang with nearby towns and important points.

Talagang Electric Bus Routes:

  • Talagang to Balkasar
  • Talagang to Kalar Kahar
  • Talagang to Chinji
  • Talagang to Tamman
  • Talagang to Lawa
  • Talagang to Kot Qazi

Importance of the Project

The new electric bus project is not only about transport. It also reflects the government’s plan to modernize services in small cities. Citizens will get cheaper travel options, students will reach colleges and universities more easily, and the environment will benefit from reduced smoke and fuel use.

Local leaders and residents have welcomed the project. They say it will bring real change to daily life, especially for those who depend on public transport.

Possible Surprise Visits

Officials shared that while a full schedule for the CM’s visit has been issued, Maryam Nawaz Sharif may also make surprise visits to other government institutions in Chakwal or Talagang. This could include schools, hospitals, or offices to directly check facilities and services.

Future Plans

If the service in Chakwal and Talagang works well, more buses will be introduced in other parts of Punjab. Special models may also be launched for hilly areas like Kallar Kahar once proper testing is complete.

Conclusion

The launch of electric buses in Chakwal and Talagang is a milestone for Punjab’s transport sector. It gives hope for cleaner cities, easier student travel, and better facilities for local people. This project shows the government’s focus on education, health, and sustainable development.
